Monday morning we got up early and went to the local grocery for fruit and corn on the cob. We made a fruit tray for Pop's party then went to visit with our friends, Keith and Rachel and their two boys. David and Kieth went motorcycle riding while Rachel and I bummed around the house and ran errands. Toward the end of the ride, the guys got caught in the rain. They made it to the house for lunch then David and I hit the road for the party. We got caught in the rain and soaked through. Since the food was going to the party with William and Sharon we decided we would go to their house and get showered and changed. We were only a little late to the party but we were dry! The party was at David's Uncle John and Aunt Sue's place. Steaks on the BBQ and LOTS of great side dishes. It was a nice time visiting and eating. About 20 or so were able to make it. I hadn't met John and Sue's kids and grandkids so it was fun to meet some of them. They have two little grand-daughters that kept me busy for a while. We didn't bring the camera for this day. I'm not sure why... but I am glad because everything we had in our backpack while riding was soaked.

On Tuesday, we waited until William could pick up the mail then headed out. It was another very long, dull trip home. We move from place to place for a living and I couldn't remember a longer more dull trip. I don't know if it was because we'd just driven from LA to IL for 19 hours a couple of weeks ago or what. But we made it with out any problems and I s'pose a dull drive is probably better than tire blow outs and car accidents. = )
