House Guest: Peanut-butter

We've had a house guest the past few days. Peanut-butter's family went on a last minute, surprise (for their kids) trip to Disney World. Peanut-butter came to visit us for a long weekend. Her owner just picked her up and Scratch is wondering where his little napping buddy is. Sunshine thought the dog was something of a little squeaky toy. None the less we've been busy and David has been home and so, I post less frequently. (more pics from visit: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=68592&l=ad38d&id=678116408)

While I have yet to shop for one brother and my sister all of our Christmas shopping is done for now and the house is clean and we've decided we'll have pizza for dinner. I typically make something pasta-ish for Christmas Eve as that is what my family often did, and David and I LOVE Italian food. Last year my mom was here and we made home made ravioli. It was ALOT of work!! More than I expected and my poor mom spent 90% of her time in my kitchen. I had a lot of fun though and I think she did as well. =0) David was disappointed that we weren't having home made ravioli again but with the little visitor and the company expected tomorrow I figured it'd be easier to do something along the lines of stuffed shells. Well, it's boiled down to pizza now. ;-) Still Italian, right?

I've started the long process of making overnight cinnamon rolls. Basically they take twice as much work as regular cinnamon rolls but are ready within an hour of getting up rather than several hours. The second rise occurs primarily in the refrigerator over night. Hopefully they are delicious. We are looking forward to them.

Tomorrow we are having ham.... hmmmm. David told me today that he was more excited about the food tomorrow than the presents. LOL. He said "I know what a good cook you are - I can't wait to eat!!" He cracks me up. I've been asking all day if we were SURE we wanted to wait to open presents tomorrow.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
