Last Minute Trippin'

On Friday morning Hubs and I packed up the X and headed North to Dallas. We had friends that were passing through and friends that lived there and it'd been far too long since we'd seen them. We figure with gas prices low and this being our last weekend with no plans we had better snag it and run. We weren't sure if we were staying the night or not but we packed up the doggies and everything needed to stay ... just in case. We met friends at a park who brought a fabulous picnic and we ate and hung out and walked the pups. Then Hubs and I killed a bit of time checking out the houses in the area. They were HUGE!!! We met friends at a Chilis to share a supper and a few hours catching up. Amazing how time flies - it'd been YEARS since we'd seen them. There was a Starbucks down the street we walked over to and continued our chatting and fellowship. At the end of the evening friends that live in Dallas invited us to stay the evening with them. Since we didn't really have a plan, we decided why not! David lived with this guy in college. We figured out last night, that David had lived with him longer that I have been living with David. It was pretty funny when we put it together. Our friends had a HUGE fenced in back yard, perfect for our two pups. All in all it was a pretty good trip. We didn't get to see everyone we'd have liked to visit but 24 hours swims by quickly.
