So we have a lot of pictures and things to catch up on but I wanted to put a quick note out here about our upcoming vacation. Tomorrow we are leaving for Aruba! Yea for us. We have been saving and planning to go on a vacation to celebrate our one year anniversary for some time. When our anniversary actually hit (in March) David was working 15 hours a day, 7 days a week so we couldn't go anywhere. We landed here in IL a few months ago but I have been in school so we still couldn't go... Anyway, we finally have the chance to go so we are taking it. We are flying out tomorrow morning Saturday August 5. We are staying at the Manchebo Beach Resort http://www.manchebo.com/ for a week then flying back on the 12th. While we are there we plan on going on a kayak day trip that includes a stop for lunch and snorkleing. Niether of us has snorkled before so we're looking forward to that. We really would like to scuba dive but it's very expensive to get certified overseas. We tried to take a course over the summer but there was only one position left in the class and we didn't think it'd be fair for only one of us to get to take it so neither of us did. We are also planning on spending one day going horseback riding. The island is very small http://www.aruba.com/about.htm so we will probably cover quite a bit of it. We'll also stop for lunch and a swim. Aruba has a constant trade wind and plenty of sun so it's recommended that tourists bring a hat with a chin strap... David went and got a really nice cowboy hat and has hardly taken it off since...
There's a lot to do in Aruba but we want to spend a few days at the beach as well. We are really looking forward to just relaxing together. So, when we get back I am sure we'll have a million and one pictures to show off and we'll hopefully have a chance to get them all up on a website some place. I have to work the Monday we get back but hopefully Tuesday the 15th I will be able to devote quite a bit of time to updating our blog!

Real cowboy hats don't have straps!
