Our new home! We took this picture as we were leaving about 6pm last night. It gets dark pretty quickly but the porch light makes it cheery.
Picture from the doorway. The house opens to a living room area then dining and kitchen. The refridgerator is temporarily sitting in the dining room. Or was when we took this. The doorway was slightly too small I guess but the owners had a plan. = )
Close up of the heating unit. Yup, that's it. No vents through the house. We've spent time in the home and it seems to do the trick even with the temp. in the teens.
The kitchen. Or some of it. David caught me in the act of collecting the phone book to order supper. We had pizza. =) We're both ready for me to start cooking. David said that manicotti sounded good so I think I'll do that with lots of veggies on the side. I'm going to miss my electric dishwasher................
We have a clawfooted tub which we both think is totally cool. It's HUGE. We don't currently have a shower... but it's going in sometime this week. They have a curvey shower curtain rod that will enclose the tub. Fabulous. I really dig the tub.
That's pretty much it. There's a small mud room with a washer/dryer off the kitchen. There's a small room that we have put our bicycles in for now just off the mud room and a small second bedroom off the bathroom. It doesn't have a closet and we don't have bedding or anything so we'll just be storing our empty plastic bins that we use for moving in their. Those will fill it up. = ) Anyway, it's a cute little house. More space than we need at this point but we like it alot. The landlady seems great and we're looking forward to enjoying our new home. I'm checking out of the hotel shortly and I'm not sure when we'll have internet connection again so for now......... = )
