Our weekend flew by! We got a lot done but it was crazy. After all of the excitement of the below mentioned pipe leak we didn't get into bed until 1. I've been battling an ear infection and sinus infection combo but was still surprised when I slept until nearly 10 on Saturday. David and I went to check out the local farmers market. The market runs from 8-12 so by the time we arrived at about 11 most of the vegetables and things were sold out. It was fun to check out the goods though.

David really dislikes yard projects so while he did some finishing in the closet/bathroom I worked in the yard. I pulled out a bunch of old decorative fences and things that had been rotting and Sunshine had decided made good chew toys. We're pretty fortunate that she's not a huge chewer. When she does chew it's always the rotten boards or other wood. David poked his nose out for a bit to replace a few boards in our fence. There were several that were cracked or rotting (and there for chewed) at the bottom.

Saturday evening we had friends over for dinner. We BBQ'd as it was a beautiful night. The weather is perfect right now. It went from being too hot in early April to mid-70's with sunshine and a light breeze. At night it's dropping to about 65 or so. It's wonderful!!

Sunday David walked the dogs while I made breakfast. I cooked up "Tony potatoes" named for a friend in college, and waffles. I cut up some fresh strawberries and we ate them on top of the waffles. It was delicious. We road to church on the bike. The service was great. The sermons of late have been extraordinary. Our Pastor is doing a series on great stories from the Old Testament. Last week we talked about Isaac on the alter. For the first time that I remember the similarities between the Crucifixion and that event in Abraham's life were pointed out. It was amazing. Yesterday we talked about Pharaoh, the plagues and how God delivered them. Another fantastic message. And Communion. It was a very good time.

We go to a Young Married, Community Group after the service. It's like adult Sunday school. We really enjoy the people in the class. Yesterday it was a pretty small group. We typically have 9 or 10 couples but there were only 4 or 5 couples yesterday. There were pressing needs in the group so rather than a lesson we spent time sharing our prayer needs and in prayer for one another. It was amazing. We really like that this class, this church really, is so open to what God may have for the class/congregation that day. It doesn't get wild and crazy mind you but the Church doesn't try to restrain God or put Him on the church's schedule. We've really enjoyed this church and especially our Community Group.

Anyway, David's off on another business trip. I was just going to get online to finish my homework but I have gotten distracted and the kids (Sunshine and Scratch) want to know when we're going on a walk because they'd like their breakfast.

Heb 4:16
"Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."
