Oh the excitement this evening. I was doing some routine cleaning. While vacuuming the baseboards of the closet in the spare bedroom (yea i vacuum the baseboards regularly, we have allergies and lots of ugly carpet, the vacuuming doesn't do anything for the ugliness of the carpet but at least it's clean) I noticed "alas we have lots of wetness!" Gross. David took action tearing out the carpet and pulling down the wall. Our shower from the spare bathroom has been seeing a lot of use lately because we've been working on a re-grouting project in our master bath. Our persistent use (I know, who really needs to shower every day) of this shower brought to our attention the fact that we have (had) a leak. David is in the process of reattaching the pipe at the curve immediately behind the shower head. And so David has put to good use one of the books he got from my (Becca) mother for his Birthday three weeks ago. It's a great book while we're on the subject. We picked it up for David's sister and bro-in-law for Christmas and David had a hard time wrapping it up and sending it away. When mom asked what David would like I thought of that book. It's "Complete Baths" by Stanley. Yup the tool making company. This book as tons of pictures and really easy to follow instructions on everything in the bathroom from the exhaust fans to the bathtubs. He also got a copy of "Complete Tiling" by Stanley from my mom. We've been using it quite a bit as we work on our little shower project. Also put to good use on our emergency this evening is a bernz-it thingy that David acquired from his Grand-Dad. We've had a very exciting evening. Wow.
