Lighting, flooring and a whole lot more

David took a little time off of work. He was able to get quite a bit done.

First, he installed some lighting that we'd found over the internet. We weren't sure what we'd get since the price was so phenomenal. Perhaps one of those too good to be true situations? But, alas, we were more than happy with the product when it was delivered a few weeks ago. David had pulled the tract lighting out and put it in his garage prior to our getting the new fixtures so he had only the installation. I write that emphasized because he had to re-wire a few things and tinker with some other widgets but he got it done and it's even better than we'd hoped. (The first pic is of the light fixture right after they were installed, the second is of them with our books in place, we like to use that ledge as a bookshelf.)

Then he got busy re-doing the floor in our master bath. We switched from old, nasty linoleum to some really nice tile. David did nearly all of the work himself with a little help with linoleum removal from a friend (Thanks, Steve!) and some sponge work from me at the end. He did such a beautiful job and I am so thankful he's mine. =-) We aren't quite finished, we need to install the new toilet (the old one was cracked - weird I know) and do the half-rounds on the baseboards but the floor looks amazing and I wanted to share. It was a lot of work. We're going to start the guest bath next but David's on a business trip and probably would like a break anyhow!

He also did a small expansion of the driveway. We were given some 12x12x2 cement tiles so he dug up the sod along the drive and put the tiles down. It added something of a walk way to our narrow drive.
