$25.00
Today the gauge light was on in the Xterra - I needed fuel in an urgent way. I topped the tank off and spent only $25!!! I was so excited. It seems like only a few days ago that I was ready to cry when it took $60 or more to get a tank of gas. Crazy the way things work.
I spent the day cleaning. I haven't done much more than wipe counter tops off and vacuum for about three weeks between school and finals. David's been out of town for nearly two weeks and will be home late tomorrow night so I spent the day cleaning. Scrubbing bathrooms and kitchens and dusting. I also pulled the dogs in the shower with me for a bath. David usually does the dogs' baths because it's easier for him to reach into the tub and handle 110 pounds of wet, collarless dog. It's easy enough when I'm in the shower with them though. Pull the curtain and they think they can't get out. It'd been three weeks since their last bath and they typically get bathed every other week. David will only be home a short time and I'm sure we won't want to spend it doing chores. Now I'm running my washing machine ragged. Doggy blankets, towels from their baths, the bedding from our bed (the kids slept with me and I wash everything before David gets home).... Ahhhhh so much to do, can't wait for David to get home!
